Classical Narrative & Storytelling

A classically trained theatrical director, I studied both the words on the page and the visual translation to stage across formats, mediums, styles, and eras. I was simultaneously exploring storytelling in virtual reality and realizing that the mainstays of traditional narrative didn't translate into interactive, immersive environments. It would be twenty years of building, testing and iterating before the "aha" moment that led to my 2025 book "Quantum Narratives."


My documentary feature “The Standbys” is a New York Times Critic’s Pick and continues to inspire audiences around the world. I also produced the award-winning feature thriller “Banshee Chapter” with Zachary Quinto (“Star Trek”), which pushed the boundaries of stereoscopic 3D filmmaking and later transformed it into the first feature film released on the Oculus DK2.


Creative development across theme parks, film, theater, virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence has given me a unique perspective on how stories, creators, and our audiences are evolving. These insights became a best-selling, critically acclaimed book, “The End of Storytelling: The Future of Narrative in the Storyplex”

Emerging Technology

I'm a C++ native, conversant across game engines, 3D modelling software, graphics suites, and UI/UX wireframing, but what I specialize in is leading interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement technology in service of story and experience.I am hands-on when it comes to experience designing, developing, testing, and delivering experiences with the latest immersive technologies including VR, AR, MR, AI, volumetric, mobile, gaming, projection mapping, blockchain, and AI.

Spatial Experiences

The most meaningful combination of storytelling and technology happens in spatial experiences. And while navigating a virtual environment offers rapid prototyping opportunities, the moments that move hearts happen when these come together in the real world.


As a Disney Imagineer, I was part of the production team that brought to life the theatrical shows in Hong Kong Disneyland such as “Lion King”, and “The Golden Mickeys” and I've continued to R&D with Imagineering on innovative theatrical storytelling techniques using interactive technology.

As the Creative Director of Experiential at Refinery29 (Vice Media), I evolved R29’s flagship event, 29Rooms, an immersive funhouse of cause and creativity with novel audience experience techniques and technological innovations. I led the R29 experiential creative department to win millions of dollars in co-branded activations with world-class clients such as Amazon, Reebok, Netflix, CB2 and Intuit to bring their brands and products to life in unique and meaningful experiences that reached hundreds of millions of people.
